Trouble?

Key Verse: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Psalm 46:1 NKJV

Adele and I sat in the break-room, sipping coffee and chatting. Adele had gone through a time of trouble -- illness, unfaithful spouse, and a rebellious child.  We had talked about those things over coffe many times.

"Look at this," Adele said as she held out her hand. One finger had a pretty nasty hangnail.

"Ouch!"

"This hangnail," Adele said, pointing at it with her other hand, "Is the worst thing in my life right now."

We laughed together. She had come through a lot, leaning on God, believing that God was her refuge and strength and that He was with her through it all.

 What a tremendous lesson I learned that day. Trouble does come in this life, but God is our ever-present help in trouble.

Lean into Him  Allow Him to bring you through your trouble.
